WHO OWNS WHAT?

The streets, curbs, sidewalks, and street signs in Village Walk are owned and maintained by the town of Zionsville. The black street light poles and fixtures are the responsibility of the Village Walk HOA. The bulbs are the responsibility of Duke Energy. The town of Zionsville pays the street light bill.

The commons or green space within Village Walk is owned and maintained by the Homeowner’s Association. This includes the park equipment, park/pond signage, pond and fountain, and all trees. Village Walk maintains the trees and grassy areas that border our neighborhood along Ford Rd and E 600 S.


What is Kirkpatrick responsible for?

Kirkpatrick Management Company is contracted to handle various aspects of neighborhood management in Village Walk. Details here: Neighborhood Management

TRASH AND RECYCLING PICKUP

Trash pick-up for Village Walk is every Friday. Recycling is picked up every other Friday.

BRUSH AND LIMB COLLECTION

Brush and limb pickup happens twice a year in spring and fall. This service is a way for Zionsville residents to dispose of pruned and fallen limbs and brush. It is generally scheduled for the last two weeks in April and the first two weeks in October. A schedule will be posted a month ahead of each collection and each neighborhood is given a designated pick-up day. Check the Zionsville town website to find the next scheduled pickup.

AUTUMN LEAF PICKUP

Leaf collection usually begins in late October and runs through late November. Rake your leaves into long narrow piles along the curb. The vacuum cannot reach leaves more than a few feet from the edge of the street, and will not go up into yards to retrieve leaves. Also, please no sticks, pine cones, gravel or other non-leaf objects in your piles!

SNOW REMOVAL

The town of Zionsville is responsible for snow removal on the public streets within our neighborhood. The town is also responsible for concrete patching and repairing.

Note: Each homeowner is responsible for clearing the sidewalks that border their property! Please help keep our sidewalks safe for kids walking to the bus stop, neighbors walking their dogs, etc.


OUTDOOR BURNING RESTRICTIONS

Outdoor burning of household trash or garbage is prohibited by the Town of Zionsville. See See Town Ordinance: Chapter 9, Article II, Section 9-6. Only clean firewood may be burned and may only be burned in approved containers.

NUISANCE ANIMALS

The Town of Zionsville has specific language in the Town Ordinances regarding nuisance animals. Please be a good neighbor, and be responsible with your pets. If you encounter a problem animal, contact Boone County Animal Control.
